Step 1:     Remove the radio and the leather gear lever gaiter (on automatic cars).

Step 2:    For manual transmission, remove only the single screw in front of the gear lever.

Step 3:    Remove the two screws in the radio recess and tilt the left side of the console. Ensuring the two parallel key hole inverted key hole slots at are the base of the plate, slide the bracket into the recess at chosen height.

Step 4:    Replace screws and trim.

(NB On '96 models the UK standard radio fitment has changed and only has two release holes on the upper side which will accept one end of a standard radio grip.

Also, the two screws in the recess have been dispensed with and the trim can be levered forward sufficiently in the same way as above without this operation.
