1. Unclip the gaiter trim around the gear shift. Pull it directly upwards and slide back as far as possible.

2. On heater control cars, remove the switches and screws beneath.

3. Remove the two screws located under the front section of this trim.

4. Remove the heater switches and the screws beneath. Cars equipped with air con will not require this step.

5. Unclip the fascia panel and lever forwards by some 15mm.

6. Locate the bracket with the two screws in the left of the heater control recess.

7. Refit the fascia trim, screws and switches and the gaiter trim.
